The Director of E.H. Traders, Mr. Mervyn Tan addressing

the parents who accompanied their children at the start of the

programme on how the mighty pencil is a creative tool for communication.

He later continued with the learning segment of the programme to enable the

Make Your Own Pencil aspires to foster a stronger bond between children

and their parents when they engage in the creative activities of the programme.

During the process of making pencils,

we observe the children's responses,

Children are able to express their creativity

by engaging their thought processes.

We aim to value-add to their knowledge

on the content that they colour.

Parents are encouraged to colour alongside

with their children to better their communication.

Parents were also observed to be assisting

their children to frame up their creations.

This engagement boosts their bonding further.

A sense of achievement from the children,

as they celebrated the result of their

value-added knowledge of the tortoise.

They shared that the tortoise also lives in muddy areas, hence they coloured its shell partially brown.

A sense of achievement came along with hard work!

Her self-discovery was accentuated well

by the colours she chose.

At the end of the programme,

all the participants enjoyed themselves during

their 1 hour of quality time together.
